Character Talks IA Blog
Monthly posts exploring different character virtues.
Trust is like the strongest form of rock. You expect it to weather every storm, every knock, bump and chip. But sometimes it crumbles and bits start to break away.
That breaking away can leave you feeling broken. The one thing that felt like the strongest form of rock is no longer. As humans we are wired to trust. A trait we often expect in others...but do we work on the trust with have with ourselves?
When our friends, family and loved ones “betray us” our souls can feel restless and remain restless until worked on-as broken trust has a habit of resurfacing.
Before you can begin to trust again you need to trust yourself — your inner knowledge of what's right and wrong for you. We have all been blessed with two sources of knowing — our feelings and the wisdom that creeps into our mind from our higher conscience. When you learn to trust your feelings and learn to trust the wisdom that is always there for you, then you become truly trustworthy of yourself.
This means that you stop ignoring that inner voice and start listening to what you know in your heart and soul.
Are you your rock...?
